Amazing scenery and powder snow make Valemount the perfect place for snowmobiling
All levels of riders can find suitable terrain in Valemount
There are guide services and snowmobile rentals available if you don't own your own machine -Contact VARDA staff for any information about snowmobiling in Valemount
Allan Creek is the first trail to open each season, with lakes, bowls, meadows, and steep hills to explore
Clemina Creek is accessible to all levels of riding ability, and can produce excellent tree riding in poor weather
Chappell Creek has elevation ranges from 6,000 ft. – 8,000 ft. and some of the best snow in the valley
The Westridge Family Loop is a low-elevation 22-km loop with lovely views, perfect for beginners to hone their snowmobiling skills.

Valemount Sledding Events

As a thank you to those who choose Valemount this season, Tourism Valemount and the Valemount and Area Recreation Development Association require no trail fees from March 31st to April 2nd at Allan Creek, Clemina Creek and Chappell Creek and Members who show their pass will be entered to win prizes.

Annual Family Day Sledder's BBQ Cookout

Sled in, warm up, and fuel up at Valemount’s Annual Family Day BBQ Cookout. It's a winter tradition on the Family Day Long Weekend, celebrating our incredible sledding community. Hosted by Best Western Plus Valemount Inn & Suites, Martin Motor Sports, and VARDA, this event brings riders together for great food, great company, and a great cause.

In 2025, sledders enjoyed the Summit Grill's famous Smoked Souvlaki Donair and raised $1,002 for Valemount’s youth—let’s do it again! Enjoy delicious eats and connect with fellow riders in true Valemount spirit.
